This course is for multi-engine airplane add-on ratings to Private Pilot and Commercial Pilot certificates. Similar requirements and cost structure for an MEI add-on to a CFI or CFII are available.

  • Northern Nevada Aviation offers complete multi-engine training from the Private Certificate through ATP. The aircraft used in the program are Piper Aztec equipped with modern avionics. Relatively low operating costs make these airplanes an ideal choice for training and rental.

    • The first level--VFR--is designed to prepare pilots to safely fly multi engine aircraft in visual conditions. Course emphasis is on typical multi engine systems and on multi engine emergency preparedness.

    A Flight Training Device ("simulator") is used to refine technique and provide complete emergency preparedness.

    In contrast to many other schools, serving as an indication of our confidence in the thoroughness of the Northern Nevada Aviation programs, multi-engine aircraft rental is available to all graduates of the Multi-IFR and ATP courses.
