Cessna Pilot Center

Chris Muller (CFI, CFII, MEI)
Flight Instructor

I have been living in Reno off-and-on for the past 15 years. I left for college in 2001 to attend Utah Valley State College. While living in Provo Utah, I got my private pilot’s license flying a DA 20. Not the most impressive aircraft to fly, but it got the job done.

I then moved up to Salt Lake City with my wife, to continue my training at Salt Lake International. It was an excellent experience that forced me to work hard on radio calls and procedures for even a routine flight. During this time I worked on my instrument license with the best instructor I have ever had, he forced excellence and was a valuable teacher for instrument and commercial skills.

My daughter was born in 2004, Darby Rose Muller. Her birth had a powerful impact on my flying and made me a more cautious pilot. After trying to do everything for a while (work full time, attend school full time, be a Dad, and work on ratings) something had to give, I liked flying and the kid was pretty lovable, so I quit my job and devoted all of my time to finishing up college and ratings.

I graduated in 2007 Cum Laude, finished my Multi-Commercial, MEI, CFI, CFII. I have had a lot of great experiences as an instructor (and some terrifying ones) and plan on doing it for a while, but I do have aspirations to fly jets and advance my career beyond instructing.
